Abuja Police Foil 'One Chance' Robbery, Arrest 14 Suspects

On April 10, 2026, the FCT Police Command conducted an operation that successfully foiled a 'one chance' robbery in Abuja. During a routine patrol at approximately 4:30 AM, officers spotted a suspicious black Hyundai vehicle with registration number ABJ 371 DZ parked along a lonely road.

Upon approaching the vehicle, three suspects exited and opened fire on the police, attempting to evade arrest. The officers responded, injuring one suspect, later identified as Jakuta Kandoki Ibrahim, a member of the gang.

A search of the vehicle revealed two female victims bound with ropes in the back seat. Upon their rescue, one victim disclosed that she had been raped by the suspects.

In total, 14 suspects were arrested during this operation, and 17 stolen vehicles were recovered, which were returned to their rightful owners after verification.
