Six Arrested in Lagos for 'One Chance' Robbery Scheme

The Lagos State Police Command arrested six members of a notorious 'one chance' robbery syndicate on a stop-and-search operation along Ago Palace, Okota, Lagos State. The suspects, identified as Basiru Rilwan (23), Afeez Akeem (25), Ademola Yekeen (20), Sodipo Oyeyemi (27), Ayomid Gafar (28), and Fabayo Michael (28), were intercepted while traveling in a tricycle with registration number AAA 720 QL.
They allegedly attempted to rob unsuspecting commuters when they were flagged down by police officers. Upon noticing the police, the suspects abandoned the tricycle and attempted to flee the scene.
A cutlass and a mobile phone were recovered from the location, and further investigation led to the discovery of a dummy pistol, which the suspects allegedly used in their criminal activities. The suspects will be charged in court upon completion of the investigation, as stated by the leadership of the Lagos State Police Command, CP Tijani Fatai.
