FCT Police Bust International Kidnapping Ring, Rescue 23 Foreign Victims

The FCT Police Scorpion Squad successfully conducted an operation that led to the dismantling of an international kidnapping and human trafficking syndicate in Nigeria. The squad rescued 23 foreign nationals, including men, women, and children, who were being held hostage in Nasarawa State.

The victims were reportedly smuggled into Nigeria through illegal routes and forced to contact their families for ransom. Fourteen suspects, including gang leader Abubakar Jigiba, were arrested.

The operation was commended by FCT Commissioner of Police, Miller G. Dantaway, who pledged to continue combating transnational human trafficking.
