FCT Police Rescue Five Kidnapping Victims in Abuja

The FCT Police Command executed a successful operation in Byazhin, Abuja, rescuing five kidnapping victims during a fierce midnight gun battle. The operation was coordinated by Commissioner of Police Bennett Igweh and involved a joint security team.

Following a recent wave of abductions in the community, security efforts were intensified to track down the kidnappers. During the operation, two suspects were neutralized, and two others were arrested, while several gang members reportedly escaped with gunshot wounds.

The police sustained pressure on the kidnapping force, compelling them to abandon the five hostages, who were rescued unharmed. Medical evaluations for the victims are underway, and efforts are being made to reunite them with their families.

The police command urged residents to remain vigilant and report any individuals seeking treatment for gunshot wounds to the nearest police station as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the criminal network.
