INEC Starts Result Collation for FCT Area Council Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) initiated the manual and electronic collation of results at the Kubwa center after the FCT area council elections concluded. The collation process commenced at 6:15 PM at the primary school Kubwa II, where major electoral officials entered results using form EC8A.

A hybrid method was employed to ensure that the results corresponded with those uploaded to the INEC results viewing portal. The bimodal voter accreditation system was utilized, and results were manually recorded on form EC8A while also being uploaded via electronic devices such as laptops.

Mr. Okoy Adeiza, a supervisor, confirmed that the ICT team worked to ensure that the results matched those from the polling units. The area council elections took place across six area councils and 62 wards in the FCT, with voting commencing at 8:30 AM, although there was a noted low voter turnout.
