INEC Starts Result Collation for Kubwa Area Council Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) began the result collation for the area council elections in Kubwa, Federal Capital Territory, at approximately 6:15 PM. The exercise took place at the LEA Primary School Kubwa II shortly after voting concluded across polling units.

Results were entered in figure form using electronic devices, while INEC officials adopted a manual electronic method to compare figures recorded at polling units with those uploaded to the INEC results viewing portal. The collation center utilized laptops alongside Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines to verify the figures against those already submitted online.

The process involved reviewing uploaded results and comparing them with manual entries to ensure accuracy before moving the results to the area council office for further collation. Mr. Okoy Adeiza, a staff member from the ICT department, managed the laptops and worked with a team to confirm the figures from the polling units, which consisted of local government elections across six area councils and 62 wards.
