Tinubu Urges Kwali Residents to Protect New Road

On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu urged residents of Kwali to protect the newly commissioned Gomani Dafa Yangoji Road, emphasizing the need for community involvement in maintaining public infrastructure for future generations. He described the road as a shared asset and called on residents to guard it against encroachment and vandalism.

Tinubu instructed residents to keep drainage channels clear and report any acts of vandalism promptly. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to completing and maintaining public infrastructure, stating that the government would not abandon projects.

The Gomani Dafa Yangoji Road was awarded in November 2025, with a completion timeline of June 30, 2026. Tinubu also noted that the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, would ensure that projects reflect the priorities of the community.

The project aims to improve access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities, thereby boosting economic opportunities for rural residents and reducing post-harvest losses.
