PRP Aspirant Disagrees with Chairman on Tinubu's Resignation

Engr. Dr. Yakubu Moham Kingsley Sundai, a presidential aspirant for the People's Redemption Party (PRP) in the 2027 general elections, publicly disagreed with the party's national chairman, Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed, regarding a statement made on June 4, 2026. Dr. Baba Ahmed called for President Bola Tinubu's resignation, accusing him of failing to fulfill constitutional responsibilities to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians amid worsening insecurity.

In response, Sundai expressed his lack of support for the resignation call, emphasizing a message of hope for Nigerians and the importance of constitutional processes in leadership transitions. He highlighted the current challenges facing Nigeria, including economic hardship, insecurity, and unemployment, and stressed the need for visionary leadership and institutional discipline.

Sundai, who has a background in engineering and has served in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), underscored the urgency for solutions to Nigeria's pressing issues as the country prepares for the upcoming elections.
