FCT Resident Doctors Begin Indefinite Strike Over Unresolved Issues

The Resident Doctors in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria, under the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), have started an indefinite strike from today. The strike was declared due to unaddressed welfare and administrative concerns affecting the doctors.

The decision was communicated in a letter dated October 30, 2025, signed by Nyesom Wike and addressed to the Minister of FCT. The strike, which includes demands for salary payments, arrears, and other issues, may disrupt healthcare services in FCT hospitals where resident doctors play a significant role.
