FCTA Confirms 1,659 Workers Appointed in 2016, 2019

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has confirmed the appointment of 1,659 workers who were employed in 2016 and 2019. This announcement was made by Emeka Ezeh, the chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, in a statement signed by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Public Communication and Social Media.

The confirmation was part of an examination conducted by the FCT Civil Service Commission on February 28, where 2,281 candidates were invited to confirm their employment status. Out of these, a total of 2,512 candidates were invited, but only 2,281 attended, with 224 absent, raising suspicions of ghost workers.

Ezeh also noted that plans are underway to conduct promotions in 2025 and 2026. He advised workers to visit the commission's website at www.fctcsc.abj.gov.ng to check their status.
