Wike Confirms 1,659 FCTA Workers from 2016-2019

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCTA), confirmed the appointment of 1,659 workers who were employed between 2016 and 2019. This confirmation is part of a broader examination conducted by the FCT Civil Service Commission on February 28, 2026.

Out of 2,512 candidates invited, 2,281 attended the examination, while 224 were absent, raising suspicions of ghost workers. Wike assumed office in August 2023 and has indicated that the FCT Civil Service Commission plans to conduct promotions for the years 2025 and 2026.

This initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu's commitment to renewing hope within the FCTA workforce. Candidates are advised to visit the commission's website to check the status of their names.
