FCTA Intensifies Flood Control Efforts in Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has intensified efforts to combat flooding in Abuja, particularly following recent incidents that drew public criticism regarding the management of drainage systems. In response, Wike revealed that a director in the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) was suspended for allegedly granting illegal approvals for developments on waterways.

Wike confirmed that the Executive Secretary of the FCDA and the Director of Development Control were dispatched to inspect affected locations to assess the impact of illegal constructions on flooding.
