FCTA Aims to Complete 70% School Renovations by Early 2026, Education Secretary Announces Progress

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) plans to finalize 70% of school renovation projects by early 2026, focusing on public secondary schools. Danlami Hayyo, the Secretary of Education Secretariat in the FCT, revealed this goal after the completion of renovations in 100 public secondary schools.

The ongoing rehabilitation and upgrade initiatives in several schools are expected to be finished by the first quarter of 2026. Hayyo, who was suspended and later reinstated by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, emphasized the need for capacity development among senior officials within the education sector.
