FCSC Chairman Prof. Tunji Olaopa Inspects 2026 Exam

Prof. Tunji Olaopa, the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), inspected the 2026 Directorate Cadre Promotion Examination on a Monday, expressing satisfaction with its smooth conduct. He highlighted the adoption of Computer-Based Testing (CBT) as a significant modernization step for the promotion process in the Federal Civil Service.

During the inspection of eight examination centres in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Olaopa reported that 5,792 out of approximately 5,900 expected candidates had taken the test. The examination was decentralized across six geopolitical zones to facilitate participation and improve administration.

The FCT had the highest number of candidates due to its accessibility. Olaopa noted that 97 percent of candidates arrived on time, with minor late arrivals managed effectively.

Initial internet connectivity challenges were addressed by providing alternative identification codes. Provisions were also made for candidates with visual and physical challenges.

The CBT platform was designed to be user-friendly, and the Commission aims to uphold the integrity of the promotion process based on merit and competence.
