Federal Government Guarantees Stable Fuel Supply Amid Downstream Concerns

The Federal Government of Nigeria has reassured citizens of stable fuel supply despite recent concerns in the downstream oil sector. A committee, chaired by the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, affirmed that the supply of refined petroleum products across the country will continue without disruption.

Following the committee's decision, Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced the immediate resumption of petrol sales in Naira, citing the intervention of the Naira Crude Technical Committee. This move aims to address challenges related to foreign exchange and crude oil pricing mechanisms.

The government is taking urgent steps to handle outstanding issues in good faith to ensure a smooth supply chain for petroleum products nationwide.
