Federal Government Launches Digital Scheme to Empower Teachers Nationwide

The Federal Government of Nigeria has introduced a digital scheme to support teachers across the country, offering subsidized mobile devices and free data access. The initiative, unveiled by the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja, targets 8,000 teachers in the first phase across six geopolitical zones.

The program, running from December 2025 to July 2026, is part of efforts to advance digital learning through the Education Public-Private Partnership (EPPP) framework. Dr.

Tunji Alausa emphasized the importance of bridging the digital divide in education and providing teachers with the necessary tools for quality education delivery.
