Female Driver Dies in Lagos Crash After Losing Control

A tragic road accident occurred in Lagos, resulting in the death of a female motorist who lost control of her Toyota Sienna, registration number LND 162 HB, and crashed into a roadside building in Mongoro, inward Ile-Zik. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident through a statement by Adebayo Taofiq, Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department.

The impact of the crash was severe, leading to the instantaneous death of the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. LASTMA personnel, who were on routine patrol, quickly responded by cordoning off the crash scene and managing traffic to prevent further accidents.

Olalekan Bakare-Oki, General Manager of LASTMA, described the incident as a reminder of the dangers of excessive speed and reckless driving. He urged motorists to drive responsibly and ensure their vehicles are roadworthy before embarking on journeys.

LASTMA extended condolences to the deceased's family.
