Female Driver Dies in Lagos Crash; LASTMA Warns on Speeding

A tragic accident occurred in Lagos when a female driver lost control of her Toyota Sienna, registered as LND 162 HB, while driving inward Ile-Zik at Mongoro. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a building, resulting in the driver's death at the scene.

She was the only occupant of the vehicle. In response to the accident, officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) promptly secured the crash site and managed traffic to prevent gridlock and minimize the risk of further accidents during the evacuation process.

Although traffic was temporarily affected, LASTMA implemented coordinated traffic control measures to restore normal vehicular movement. The agency has renewed its warnings to motorists about the dangers of excessive speeding in light of this fatal incident.
