Female Driver Dies in Lone Crash; LASTMA Responds

A tragic accident occurred over the weekend in Nigeria, resulting in the death of a female driver who was the sole occupant of a Toyota Sienna with registration number LND 162 HB. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle for reasons that remain undetermined and died at the scene.

Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), who were on routine patrol, responded quickly to the incident. They secured the crash site and managed traffic to prevent secondary accidents while emergency recovery operations were conducted.

Security personnel from the Afonka Police Post, under the Shasha Divisional Police Headquarters, provided security during the operation until the vehicle was evacuated. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, the General Manager of LASTMA, described the incident as a reminder of the dangers of excessive speeding and urged motorists to adhere to approved speed limits and ensure their vehicles are in good mechanical condition.

LASTMA extended condolences to the deceased's family and called for greater caution among motorists.
