Seven Dead in Niger State Road Crash on Kutigi-Bida Road

On Sunday at 11:30 am, a tragic road accident occurred along the Kutigi–Bida Road in Niger State, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals and injuries to seven others. The crash involved a Mazda vehicle, which was traveling from Minna towards Mokwa, and a Toyota Sienna, which was en route from Lagos to Minna.

The Mazda reportedly entered a blind corner and collided with the Sienna. The Mazda had departed the Mobil Motor Park and was carrying eight passengers, of whom seven died in the crash.

A teenage girl, the only survivor from the Mazda, was reported to be unconscious at the time of the report. The Sienna was fully occupied with seven passengers, who sustained injuries, while four others escaped unhurt.

Aishat Saadu, the Niger State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, confirmed that a total of 18 people were involved in the incident, with seven fatalities, seven injuries, and four individuals uninjured.
