Female ISWAP Family Member Surrenders to Troops in Borno

On February 26, 2023, at 6:05 PM, a female family member of an ISWAP fighter surrendered to troops in Dikwa, Borno State. According to intelligence sources reported by Zagazola Makama, the adult female had fled from Tokomber Village in Gwoza Local Government Area before turning herself in to the military.

She is currently in custody of the troops, who are conducting preliminary investigations. The surrender is part of ongoing counter-insurgency operations aimed at applying sustained pressure on terrorist elements in the northeast region of Nigeria.

The operation is being conducted under the framework of "Operation Hadin Kai," which involves collaboration between various military units to enhance security and combat terrorism in the area.
