FG and ActionAid Launch Justice Campaign in Karshi

The Federal Government, in partnership with ActionAid Nigeria and various justice-sector agencies, initiated an awareness campaign on access to justice in the Karshi community, located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Mrs Beatrice Jeddy-Agba, the Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Justice, represented by Drusilla Tarfa, stated the ministry's commitment to creating a justice system that is accessible and responsive to all Nigerians, particularly the poor and vulnerable.

The campaign, implemented alongside the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria and the National Human Rights Commission, aims to provide residents with free legal advice, human rights education, and information on reporting rights violations. Jeddy-Agba emphasized the necessity of delivering justice services directly to communities.

Additionally, Mrs Nkaiso Aniekan Eshiet from NAPTIP addressed human trafficking concerns, urging community members to verify job opportunities for their children to prevent exploitation.
