Aviation Ministry Launches ECM Project Management Team

On May 13, 2026, the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development inaugurated the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Project Management Team in Abuja. The team, led by Mahmud Adam Kambari, the Permanent Secretary, is tasked with implementing an ECM system under the 1Gov Solution initiative.

During the inauguration, Kambari emphasized that the ECM initiative is part of a strategic reform program aimed at modernizing record management, streamlining workflow processes, enhancing information sharing, and preserving institutional memory. The successful implementation of the ECM system is expected to significantly improve operational efficiency, transparency, and accountability within the ministry.

Kambari charged the team members to diligently fulfill their responsibilities in line with the federal government's digital transformation agenda. The team will develop and implement a comprehensive ECM roadmap, coordinate ECM implementation across departments, supervise document digitization, and ensure compliance with record management and information security standards.

Ibrahim Lawan, the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics, welcomed the team and urged commitment to the project's success.
