Ministry of Aviation Launches Training Committee for Staff

On May 13, 2026, the Ministry of Aviation held an inauguration ceremony for the Ministerial Training Committee in Abuja, aimed at strengthening human capital development within the ministry and its agencies. The Permanent Secretary, Mahmud Adam Kambari, described the inauguration as an honor and emphasized the committee's critical role in achieving the ministry's strategic objectives.

The committee is expected to promote innovative training programs that are demand-driven and aligned with the ministry's operational priorities. Kambari tasked the committee members with ensuring that training programs are cost-effective, equitable, and transparent.

The committee's responsibilities include developing the ministry's annual training capacity development plan, identifying competency gaps, and reviewing suitable local and international training programs. The committee is also charged with monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs to enhance staff productivity and service delivery.

Ejik Osib, the Director of Human Resource Management, welcomed the initiative, noting its significance in achieving institutional goals.
