KASU Committee Advocates Equal Staff Agreement Implementation

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), and National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) at Kaduna State University (KASU) has made an appeal to the Kaduna state government. They request that the implementation of the newly negotiated federal government agreement be extended to all recognized staff unions within the university.

This appeal was articulated in a statement following an Executive Committee meeting held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the SSANU Conference Room, KASU. The statement was signed by Acting JAC Chairman Comrade Aliyu Garba and JAC Secretary Comrade Dahiru Musa.

The committee argues that inclusive implementation would foster fairness, equity, and industrial harmony, noting that all staff categories contribute to the university's effective operation. They referenced other universities that have successfully extended benefits to various recognized unions and urged the Kaduna State Government to adopt a similar inclusive approach to strengthen cooperation and harmony within KASU.
