FG to Expand Cash Transfer Scheme for Poor Nigerians

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans to expand its cash transfer scheme to reach more poor and vulnerable Nigerians. This initiative, discussed at the Oxford Global Think Tank leadership conference in Abuja, aims to stabilize inflation, exchange rates, and lift citizens out of poverty through transparent and accountable implementation.

The program will be extended to beneficiaries at the grassroots level across all 774 local government areas in Nigeria. The move is part of broader efforts to support economic reforms and ensure positive impacts on citizens.
