Keyamo Launches N21bn NAMA Headquarters at Abuja Airport

On Thursday, Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the new N21 billion corporate headquarters of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The project, which costs twenty-one billion, six hundred eighty-four million, three hundred fourteen thousand, eight hundred thirty-nine naira, forty kobo, including tax, is expected to be completed within 30 months.

Keyamo emphasized the importance of modern infrastructure for the aviation sector, stating that the new headquarters will integrate executive management functions and enhance air traffic management efficiency. The project adheres to the provisions of the Public Procurement Act of 2007 and follows a transparent competitive tender process.

Engr. Farouk Ahm Umar, the Managing Director and CEO of NAMA, noted that the new facility represents a significant shift in managing airspace operations, which have been decentralized across multiple regions.

The project is seen as a critical step towards improving Nigeria's air navigation services.
