FG Confirms Oju-Ore Bridge Stability, Urges Site Vacate

The Federal Government has assured the public that the Oju-Ore bridge in Ota, Ogun State, has passed integrity tests and is structurally stable, dismissing concerns raised on social media. This assurance was made during a high-level inspection by officials from the Federal Ministry of Works, including Engr. Saidu Musa, who represented Minister Engr. David Umahi.

Musa emphasized that the integrity of major bridges cannot be assessed through social media images and that proper engineering tests are essential. The Acting Federal Controller of Works in Ogun State, Engr. Adeleye Richard, confirmed the bridge's quality and stability, noting that it is being constructed by the indigenous contractor, Laralek, in compliance with federal standards.

However, he highlighted the challenge posed by traders occupying the construction area, urging community leaders to assist in vacating the site to allow work to proceed efficiently.
