Olam Agri Launches Tru Value Cattle Feed in Nigeria

The Minister of Livestock Development, Mr. Idi Mukhtar Maiha, commended Olam Agri for the launch of its Tru Value cattle feed range in Kaduna State. This initiative expands Olam Agri’s feed offerings beyond poultry and aquaculture, reinforcing its role in providing nutritional solutions across key livestock sectors.

Maiha emphasized that improving productivity at the farm level is essential for transforming Nigeria’s livestock sector, highlighting the importance of quality animal nutrition for better growth rates, improved milk yields, and increased farmer returns. He acknowledged Olam Agri's investment in innovative feed solutions as vital to the federal government's goal of establishing a modern, competitive, and sustainable livestock industry.

The minister assured that the government would continue to foster an environment conducive to private sector investment and innovation in the livestock value chain. Sharad Gupta, President & Global Head, Integrated Feed & Protein at Olam Agri, stated that the launch marks a significant step in the company's ambition to enhance livestock systems through nutrition and strategic partnerships.
