FG's Commitment to North-East Development Affirmed

Alhaji Uba Maigari, the Minister of State for the North-East, stated the federal government's dedication to the development of the North-East geopolitical zone during an interaction with newsmen in Jalingo. He emphasized the need to fast-track development initiatives in the region, which has faced significant challenges due to insecurity over the past two decades.

Maigari noted that the administration has made substantial progress in addressing these security issues, which have hindered development. He highlighted the achievements of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) over the last two years, including the execution of various people-oriented projects across six states in the region.

Maigari urged the populace to support government initiatives and take ownership of projects, while also calling for a collective stand against insecurity. He described the notion of Nigeria being a small country as absurd, given its diverse population and vast potential for development.
