Nigerian Government Launches Farmer Monie Programme to Reduce Poverty Nationwide

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, initiated the Farmer Monie Dry/Wet Season Programme in Abuja. Dr. Bernard Boro unveiled the program, emphasizing its goal of poverty reduction and empowering citizens for economic growth.

The program targets all 36 states in Nigeria, focusing on providing financial support to farmers, artisans, and traders to boost job creation and contribute to national prosperity. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to strengthen the agricultural sector and ensure financial inclusion for underserved communities.

By supporting small businesses and farmers, the program aims to enhance food security, sustain agriculture as a viable economic pathway, and ultimately alleviate poverty nationwide.
