FG Launches IPPIS HR Modules for Civil Service Reform

The Federal Government officially launched the Human Resource (HR) Modules of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) in Abuja, marking a significant step in the digital transformation of the Federal Civil Service. The launch, conducted by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), aims to enhance transparency, improve personnel management, and provide reliable workforce data.

Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, described the initiative as a landmark achievement, emphasizing its comprehensive digital platform for managing the employee lifecycle.

The platform currently serves over 508 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and is expected to improve data integrity and automate approvals. Prof.

Tunji Olaopa, Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, noted that the new HR modules would allow more than 600,000 civil servants to manage their records online. The solution, developed by Soft Alliance and Resources Limited, reflects Nigeria's commitment to public sector innovation and indigenous technology.
