FG Launches Digital Platform for Civil Service Automation

The Federal Government has introduced the Human Resource Modules of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS), a fully digital platform aimed at automating staff postings, promotions, leave applications, and other personnel processes across the Federal Civil Service. Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, announced this development during the official IPPIS Go-Live Ceremony in Abuja on Monday.
She stated that the platform represents a significant step towards a modern, efficient public service aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The new system will replace manual processes with an integrated digital approach, covering biometric enrolment, onboarding, payroll administration, and more across 508 ministries and agencies.
Walson-Jack highlighted that the platform would eliminate manual influence over postings and improve transparency and accountability. She urged all ministries and agencies to adopt the platform, stressing the need for simplified processes and the elimination of outdated bureaucratic practices.
