Federal Government Warns of Potential Floods in 15 Nigerian States Before September Ends

The Federal Government of Nigeria has identified 15 states at risk of experiencing floods before the end of September. The Ministry of Environment issued flood alerts for 69 locations across these states due to heavy rainfall expected between September 24 and 28.

The National Flood Early Warning Centre warned of potential flooding that could displace communities and threaten food security. This prediction follows a series of weather alerts urging states to prepare for thunderstorms and moderate rain.
