FG Orders Urgent Repairs of Shagamu-Benin Bridge - Innovative Solutions Implemented

The Federal Government has ordered immediate repairs of the Shagamu-Benin Bridge, citing visible damage and deterioration. The Ministry of Works revealed that a team of engineers is on-site to address the issues, including the double carriageway's visible punctures.

The bridge, connecting Ondo and Edo States, will undergo full deck reconstruction using innovative engineering technology to ensure a permanent solution. The Minister of Works, Umahi, apologized for any inconvenience caused to road users during the repair period and assured the public of traffic management measures to minimize disruptions.

The government aims to maintain safety and efficiency on the bridge during the rehabilitation process.
