FG Collaborates with Creative Industry for National Unity

The Federal Government of Nigeria is partnering with the creative industry to strengthen security awareness and foster national unity. On a Friday, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo received a delegation from the Actor Guild of Nigeria, led by President Emeka Rollas, during a courtesy visit at his office in Abuja.

The collaboration aims to enhance public enlightenment and strengthen advocacy efforts to counter misinformation. Tunji-Ojo commended Rollas on his re-election as president of the guild and emphasized the importance of the creative sector as a platform for driving positive social change.

He noted significant reforms being implemented across the Ministry of Interior, particularly in the correctional system, which has seen a dramatic drop in repeat offenders from approximately 13,000 in 2023 to an expected 1,000 by 2025. The minister also highlighted ongoing reforms in passport administration, immigration services, and fire safety management.

Rollas assured the minister of the creative industry's readiness to support initiatives promoting national cohesion.
