FG Releases Admission List for Unity Colleges

The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the release of the admission list for Federal Unity Colleges on August 19. The admission process has been fully automated to enhance transparency, efficiency, and capacity management in secondary school placement.

The current exercise covers 80 conventional Federal Unity Colleges for Junior Secondary School 1 admission, with the remaining 42 Federal Technical Colleges for Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) programs to be announced later. The Minister of State for Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, ensured that the admission process was conducted strictly within the approved school capacity to eliminate challenges of overstretched facilities and guarantee fairness, operational efficiency, and sustained quality in Federal Unity Colleges.

The Director of Senior Secondary Education, Hajia Binta Abdulkadri, hailed the reform, emphasizing that it would align admission with school capacity and create a better learning environment for students.
