FG Signs MoUs for Major Road Projects Under Tinubu

On [date not specified], the Federal Government of Nigeria, represented by the Federal Ministry of Works, signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Hitech Africa Limited and Infouest International Limited. This agreement is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Infrastructure Renewal Agenda, focusing on ongoing legacy road projects across the country.

The signing ceremony was attended by Engr. David Umahi, the Minister of Works, who described the occasion as a milestone in transforming Nigeria's infrastructure sector.

He emphasized that the projects would not only enhance connectivity but also stimulate economic growth. The projects include the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Abuja-Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, among others, with a commitment to adhere to engineering specifications and timelines.

The average cost per kilometer for the dual carriageway remains competitive despite complex engineering requirements. Hitech Africa Limited's Managing Director, Dani Abboud, assured the government of their readiness to deliver the projects within the stipulated 36-month timeline.
