Tinubu Launches Key Road Projects to Boost Abuja Infrastructure

On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially flagged off two significant road projects in Abuja, aimed at enhancing transportation infrastructure and economic activity. The projects, which include the construction of two service carriageways on the Southern Parkway and a collector road in the Gaduwa District, are designed to improve mobility and reduce traffic congestion in the Federal Capital Territory.

During the ceremony, Tinubu described the Southern Parkway as a strategic transport corridor that connects multiple districts across Abuja. He noted that the main carriageway, named after him, has already been completed and will significantly alleviate traffic issues affecting surrounding communities such as Durumi, Gudu, and Duboyi.

Additionally, the collector road in the Abuja Research Institute District is intended to provide vital access to educational and research institutions, supporting the growth of a knowledge-driven economy. These projects are part of Tinubu's broader infrastructure renewal program, which includes several critical transport initiatives in the FCT.
