Sokoto Governor Partners with FG to Combat Insecurity

On Friday, during a Sallah homage visit to Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar, Sokoto State Governor Ahmadu Aliyu announced a collaboration with the Federal Government to address insecurity in the state, particularly banditry. The governor highlighted the administration's commitment to enhancing support for security agencies to restore peace across Sokoto.

He urged residents to cooperate with security forces and emphasized the need for public support in ongoing operations against criminal elements. Aliyu called for prayers for the protection of security personnel deployed in volatile areas.

He reassured citizens of an open-door policy and encouraged Islamic clerics to continue prayers for peace and unity in the country. The Sultan commended the governor for his developmental efforts and praised the security agencies for their role in safeguarding lives and property.

The partnership aims to strengthen local intelligence and combat the persistent threat of banditry affecting rural communities in the northwestern region of Nigeria.
