Senator Katung Sympathizes with Emir After Palace Fire

Senator Sundai Marshal Katung, representing the Kaduna South Senatorial District, expressed his sympathy to Emir Jama Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu II after a fire outbreak affected part of the Emir's palace located in Kafanchan, Jama’a Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

In a statement issued through his special adviser, Midat Joseph, Katung described the incident as painful, considering the cultural and historical importance of the palace to the Jama people and the wider Southern Kaduna community. He acknowledged the shock of the fire, particularly noting that four flats within the palace complex were affected, including a wing occupied by the Emir's mother.

Katung expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the absence of casualties, interpreting it as a sign of divine protection. He praised the local security personnel and volunteers for their prompt response in containing the fire and preventing further damage, reaffirming his support for the Emir and the people of Kaduna South as they work towards restoring the affected structures and maintaining peace in the area.
