Fire Destroys Building in Oyo State, No Casualties Reported

A devastating fire incident occurred in Ibadan, Oyo State, where a residential bungalow in Ifedapo Estate, Amuloko area, was engulfed in flames, resulting in significant property damage worth millions of naira. The Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service Agency, Mr.

Maroof Akinwand, disclosed that the fire outbreak was swiftly contained, preventing its spread to neighboring buildings. Akinwand also highlighted the importance of public cooperation in alerting the fire service promptly during emergencies.

Additionally, Akinwand revealed that Oyo State recorded 246 fire incidents in 2025, with successful rescue operations saving lives and recovering bodies across various locations in the state.
