Firefighters Contain Petrol Station Blaze in Kano State

On Tuesday night, firefighters from the Kano State Fire Service successfully contained a fire outbreak at Tukur Muhammed Nigeria Limited, a petrol filling station located along Saya Saya Road in Rano Local Government Area. The incident was reported to the Emergency Response Unit at the Rano Fire Station around 9:20 pm by the station manager, Abubakar Umar.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the fire had started from a Mikano generator and had affected the rear tyres of a CANTER vehicle, which were slightly burnt. The firefighters acted swiftly to control the situation, preventing the fire from spreading to other sections of the filling station.

The Kano State Fire Service attributed the cause of the fire to a fault in the generator. Alhaji Sani Anas, the Director of the Kano State Fire Service, urged the public to remain vigilant and to ensure they have functional fire extinguishers and observe proper fire-safety measures.
