Nigerian Cocoa Farmers Trained on EUDR Guidelines for Sustainable Agriculture

Rasad Nigeria Limited, in collaboration with Sahel Capital, conducted a training program for 500 cocoa farmers in Ogun State to educate them on sustainable farming practices, particularly in line with the European Union's deforestation regulations. The training equipped farmers with knowledge and tools to improve cocoa output while ensuring compliance with the EU guidelines.

Rasaq Adeagbo, the founder of Rasad Nigeria Limited, emphasized the importance of empowering farmers to enhance productivity and meet global trade standards. Femi Adeniji, the project lead, highlighted the significance of EUDR compliance for cocoa exports and the need for financial and input support for smallholder farmers to remain competitive.
