Five Arrested in Delta Police Officer Killing Case

On April 21, 2026, five individuals were arrested in Nwofe, Izzi Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, during a military operation led by the Nigerian Army's Sector 2. The operation was based on credible intelligence regarding a criminal network involved in violent attacks against security personnel.

Among those arrested was a notorious leader known as "Calam," linked to the February 26, 2026, attack on a police officer in Okuku Igbo, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State, which resulted in the officer's death and injuries to another. During the raid, military personnel recovered a black motorcycle, five mobile phones, and other items.
