Five PDP National Assembly Members Join APC in Osun

Five members of the National Assembly elected on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) formally defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun. The defectors include Senator Franci Fadahunsi from Osun East, Olubiyi Fadeyi from Osun Central, House of Representatives member Omirin Olusanya from Ijesa South, Wole Ok from Ijesa North, and Taofeek Ajilesoro from Ife Central.

The APC welcomed the new members at an event where party leaders expressed their commitment to reclaiming governance in Osun. The party emphasized the importance of unity and hard work in the lead-up to the governorship elections scheduled for August 8, 2026.

APC Chairman Gboyega Oyetola highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in governance, aiming to build infrastructure and empower youth. The party also endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027, urging members to intensify efforts for the upcoming elections.
