Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will face each other again on September 19, 2023, in Las Vegas, marking the first professional boxing event at the Sphere, a futuristic venue that opened in 2023. This rematch follows their original encounter in 2015, which shattered financial records, drawing 4.6 million pay-per-view buys and generating approximately $600 million in revenue.

Mayweather won that bout comfortably and is believed to have earned around $300 million that night. Despite both fighters being in their late forties, they are eager for this second installment.

Mayweather, who officially retired in 2017, has remained active in exhibition matches, while Pacquiao returned to the ring last year after a four-year absence and a presidential run in the Philippines. The rematch's announcement intensified speculation after Mayweather hinted at retirement.
