FMSDIGA Hosts Stakeholders Meeting on Constituency Projects

The Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs (FMSDIGA) convened a two-day interactive meeting on September 20, 2023, in Abuja to enhance the implementation of zonal intervention and constituency projects. The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders and improve project delivery while reinforcing accountability and compliance.

Dr. Onwusoro Maduka, the Permanent Secretary of FMSDIGA, welcomed participants and underscored the importance of stakeholder collaboration for the success of these projects.

He noted the ministry's statutory responsibility to monitor, evaluate, and verify payments related to constituency projects. The meeting also addressed the need for revised guidelines for implementing these projects, which had not been held in recent years due to a lack of appropriate state.

The event provided a platform for dialogue among members of the National Assembly, ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) involved in executing constituency project programs. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and improve monitoring mechanisms for effective project delivery.
