FMSDIGA Hosts Forum to Boost Constituency Project Implementation

The Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs (FMSDIGA) conducted its 2nd Quarter Stakeholders Interactive and Citizens Engagement Forum on June 30, 2023, aimed at strengthening the implementation of Zonal Intervention and Constituency Projects (ZIP CP) across Nigeria. The forum, themed "Strengthening Effective Implementation of Zonal Intervention and Constituency Projects," was attended by critical stakeholders, including government institutions, development partners, civil society organizations, community leaders, and media representatives.

Hon. Zephaniah Bitru Jisalo delivered the keynote address, reaffirming the ministry's commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen participation.

Dr. Onwusoro Maduka, the Permanent Secretary, highlighted that project verification and monitoring had improved significantly, with performance increasing from 28.88% in 2023 to 43.13% in 2024.

The ministry aims to ensure that projects align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder engagement for sustainable project delivery.
