Rick Macci, the former coach of Serena Williams, has expressed confidence that the 23-time Grand Slam champion will make a comeback to competitive tennis. At 44 years old, Williams is reportedly preparing to train herself for a return to the sport.

She last won a Grand Slam singles title in 2017 and has not competed since the 2022 US Open. Williams officially re-entered the tournament and joined the tennis anti-doping test pool last year.

Although she has denied preparing for a return to the sport, her dominance over the past two decades has raised eyebrows. Last month, during an appearance on NBC's Today show, she deflected questions regarding a potential comeback.
